Insignia in silver gilt with blue enamels, mounted to a bronze seven pointed star base with emanating rays, engraved "JOHN ATKIN" on the reverse, measuring 56. 5 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), original ribbon, hanger with pinback and maker marked "ELKINGTON 22 REGENT St. S. W.", intact enamels, scattered gilt and silvering wear, light contact, near extremely fine.
